Sr Dir, EMEA Emerging Markets Reg Affairs

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Senior Director to lead regulatory affairs strategy and execution across EMEA emerging markets, including Africa, the Middle East, Turkey, and Russia. This leadership role oversees approximately 80 colleagues and manages a $10 million regulatory budget while ensuring product launches, compliance, and patient access.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop regulatory organization across regional and country teams with clear accountability and succession planning
• Set and execute regulatory strategy for development, filing sequences, registrations, launches, and lifecycle management
• Enable timely submissions and approvals through multinational strategies and accelerated regulatory pathways
• Manage approximately $10 million in regional and country regulatory budgets with disciplined oversight
• Build relationships with health authorities and guide key regulatory negotiations and interactions

Requirements

• Extensive regulatory affairs leadership experience in emerging markets or similar complex regions
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, geographically dispersed teams across multiple countries
• Strong knowledge of regulatory pathways, health authority interactions, and product lifecycle management
• Experience managing substantial budgets and making trade-off decisions across portfolio and business priorities
• Fluency in English; additional regional language skills valued
• Currently based in one of the listed EMEA emerging market locations
