To support its continued growth and strengthen its governance framework, the company is looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to lead its local Compliance function and contribute to the development of a strong compliance culture across the organization.

Role Overview

As Compliance Manager , you will be responsible for overseeing and managing compliance risks, ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior management, while leading a team of compliance professionals and fostering a culture of ethical business conduct.

This is a key leadership position offering significant visibility and the opportunity to influence strategic decision-making within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the local Compliance function, ensuring an effective compliance framework across the business.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess the impact of new legislation on the organization.
• Develop, implement, and maintain local compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments and define appropriate mitigation actions.
• Advise senior management and business stakeholders on compliance and regulatory matters.
• Prepare compliance reports, annual plans, and governance documentation.
• Oversee monitoring reviews and compliance controls across business activities.
• Drive compliance awareness through training and communication initiatives.
• Manage whistleblowing cases and internal investigations where required.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and regional or international compliance teams.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Compliance team.

Candidate Profile

• Master's degree in Law .
• Certified Compliance Officer.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Compliance, Risk, Regulatory Affairs, or a related area.
• Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and non-financial risk management.
• Experience within a regulated environment such as financial services, insurance, banking, or a similar sector.
• Proven people management and leadership experience.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in French, Dutch, and English .
• High level of integrity, discretion, and professional judgment.
• Interest in AI and Data Analytics is considered a plus.
