Senior/Lead Unity Developer (remote)

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior/Lead Unity Developer who is passionate about building high-quality mobile games and takes full ownership of complex gameplay features from concept to release.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering scalable game systems while working closely with designers, artists, product managers, and other engineers. We are looking for someone who can independently drive technical solutions, make architectural decisions, and consistently deliver high-quality code with minimal supervision.

For which tasks (responsibilities)?

• Take end-to-end ownership of complex gameplay features, from technical design and implementation to testing, optimization, and release.

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and maintainable gameplay systems in Unity.

• Collaborate closely with game designers, artists, producers, and other engineers to transform game concepts into polished player experiences.

• Drive technical decision-making, balancing performance, maintainability, and development efficiency.

• Write clean, modular, and well-documented C# code following modern software engineering principles.

• Optimize gameplay systems, memory usage, rendering, and overall application performance for iOS and Android.

• Identify technical challenges early, propose scalable solutions, and proactively mitigate development risks.

• Debug and resolve complex gameplay, performance, and production issues.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining high engineering standards across the project.

• Evaluate new technologies, tools, and third-party solutions to improve development workflows and product quality.

• Collaborate with the team to continuously improve architecture, development processes, and technical best practices.

What kind of professional are we looking for?

• 7+ years of professional experience developing games with Unity.

• Expert-level knowledge of C# and strong understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, and design patterns.

• Extensive experience building scalable gameplay systems and game architecture.

• Proven ability to independently own and deliver complex game features from concept to production.

• Strong understanding of Unity's architecture, lifecycle, asset pipeline, and performance optimization techniques.

• Hands-on experience optimizing mobile games for iOS and Android.

• Experience with asynchronous programming, memory management, and performance profiling.

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues efficiently.

• Solid understanding of game architecture, gameplay programming, physics, animation systems, and AI fundamentals.

• Experience working with Git and collaborative development workflows.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

• Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of technical decisions and delivering results with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience developing multiplayer or online game features.

• Experience with Addressables, Asset Bundles, or content delivery systems.

• Familiarity with dependency injection frameworks (Zenject/Extenject or similar).

• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience mentoring developers or acting as a technical lead.

• Published mobile games on the App Store or Google Play.
