Context


In this role, the intern will support the processing of corporate actions such as dividends, coupons, mergers, and proxy votings while ensuring accurate data and timely communication. They will work closely with senior analysts, the transfers and payments teams, and external custodians to help reconcile positions and resolve simple discrepancies. The intern will gain exposure to daily operational workflows and learn how corporate events impact client portfolios. We are looking for someone detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.



Your position


The intern is part of Transaction Services - Corporate Actions & Income and reports to the Corporate Actions Team Lead. Operational guidance is provided by senior Corporate Actions specialists.


The day-to-day activities consist in:


- Event Monitoring & Validation: Track corporate action announcements (dividends, coupons, splits, mergers, rights/tenders) and verify key details (dates, options, rates, custody accounts).


- System Updates: Enter/update event data and static data in internal systems with high data quality.


- Entitlement Support: Assist with entitlement calculations and pre-payment checks by reconciling internal positions vs. custodian balances.


- Instruction Handling (Voluntary Events): Help prepare client election summaries, collect/validate instructions, and support timely submission to custodians/agents.


- Cash & Securities Allocation: Support allocation of corporate action proceeds (cash and stock) and validate that received amounts/quantities match expectations.


- Break Investigation: Identify mismatches (wrong rate, missing payment, position breaks), document findings, and escalate per procedures.


- Documentation & Process Improvement: Keep current procedures up to date; contribute to small automation or template standardization (Excel/Power BI).

- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify discrepancies and follow structured processes.


- Proactive and curious, willing to ask questions and seek clarification when needed


- Organizational skills to manage multiple events, deadlines, and priorities.


- Basic understanding of financial markets or interest in learning about securities and corporate actions.


- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for interactions with internal teams.


- Interest in operational processes, data quality, and reconciliation activities.


- Motivated to learn about corporate actions, securities operations, and the custody lifecycle.
