About the Opportunity: We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in Business Process Modelling, Information Modelling, and Agile Business Analysis . This role is ideal for someone who enjoys understanding complex business domains, translating business needs into structured requirements, and ensuring that solutions remain aligned with business architecture and strategic objectives.

You will collaborate closely with Business Architects, Product Owners, Solution Architects, Developers, and Business Stakeholders to design sustainable, high-quality business solutions.

Your Responsibilities

Business Process Analysis & Modelling

• Analyse end-to-end business processes and identify opportunities for optimization.
• Model business processes using BPMN while ensuring alignment with business architecture.
• Distinguish clearly between business processes and application processes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across business capabilities.

Information Modelling

• Create and maintain business information models using UML Class Diagrams .
• Define, review, and improve business concepts and information structures.
• Ensure consistency between business capabilities, information ownership, and information models.

Requirements Analysis

• Gather, analyse, and prioritize functional and non-functional requirements.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and requirement refinement sessions.
• Write and refine user stories and Product Backlog Items (PBIs) that are ready for development.
• Work closely with Product Owners to maintain a high-quality backlog.

Solution Design

• Collaborate with Solution Architects to ensure proposed solutions meet business objectives.
• Represent business architecture during solution design.
• Challenge assumptions constructively to ensure sustainable and future-proof solutions.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Prepare business test scenarios and test cases.
• Support Business Acceptance Testing (BAT/UAT).
• Participate in Sprint Reviews and defect triage.
• Promote a "test early, test often" mindset.
• Ensure traceability between business requirements and testing activities.

Documentation

• Produce clear and structured business documentation.
• Improve documentation standards and best practices.
• Maintain high-quality process, requirement, and solution documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Leadership

• Take ownership of business initiatives from analysis through implementation.
• Drive continuous improvement and challenge existing processes where appropriate.
• Build strong relationships with business and IT stakeholders to deliver real business value.

Required Skills & Experience

• Master's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5–8 years of Business Analysis experience within Agile environments.
• Strong experience with:
• Business Process Modelling (BPMN)
• Requirements Engineering
• User Stories & Backlog Refinement
• Information Modelling (UML)
• Business Process Analysis
• Business Documentation
• Stakeholder Management
• Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Ability to refine Product Backlog Items into developer-ready requirements.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Autonomous, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of BABOK framework.
• Experience with ArchiMate .
• Knowledge of Electrical Network Management or the Energy/Utilities sector.

Languages

• Very good knowledge of Dutch and/or French , plus English
