IT Business Partner

As an IT Business Partner, you play a key role in connecting business needs with innovative IT solutions across our Service Logistics organization. You act as a trusted advisor for both internal and external stakeholders, translating complex business requirements into scalable IT solutions that support operational excellence and customer success.

You will work closely with customers, operations, business development teams and global IT colleagues to design, implement and continuously improve supply chain solutions across the EMEA region. Through your analytical mindset, technical expertise and strong stakeholder management skills, you help drive customer satisfaction, operational efficiency and business growth.

Location: Belgium or Budapest (Hungary)

What you will do

You are responsible for delivering IT consultancy, solution design and implementation support for both existing and new customers. Acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and IT delivery teams, you ensure solutions are aligned with operational needs and customer expectations.

IT Consultancy & Solution Design

• Provide IT consultancy and support to EMEA Client Support Services and Operations teams
• Support IT Account Management and Business Development teams in defining IT solutions for new customer implementations
• Analyse, design and implement IT changes for existing customers through Change Requests (CRFs)
• Translate business requirements into functional and system requirements
• Collaborate with development partners to deliver enhancements and new functionalities
• Deliver and maintain high-quality solution documentation, including system requirements and solution designs
• Ensure smooth transition and handover of implemented solutions to IT Support teams

Project Management & Implementation

• Lead IT workstreams within customer implementation and transformation projects
• Coordinate and execute testing activities for new solutions and system enhancements
• Monitor project progress and ensure stakeholders remain informed throughout delivery
• Provide transparency regarding project-related IT costs and effort estimates
• Ensure adherence to DHL quality management processes and standards
• Support implementation activities while balancing customer, operational and technical priorities

Stakeholder & Customer Management

• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Operations, IT, Product Management and Business Development teams
• Develop trusted partnerships with customer IT organizations and external vendors
• Act as the primary IT point of contact for solution-related discussions and requirements gathering
• Influence and guide stakeholders towards effective and sustainable IT solutions
• Maintain close collaboration with Business Process Optimization, Product Consultants, Configuration Teams and B2B Integration teams
• Present solutions and recommendations confidently to both technical and non-technical audiences

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Identify opportunities to improve existing solutions and business processes
• Drive innovation and contribute to operational excellence initiatives
• Support the continuous evolution of DHL Service Logistics IT products and services
• Analyse complex challenges and propose creative, customer-focused solutions
• Contribute to standardization, optimization and efficiency improvement initiatives across the organization

Who you are

You are a customer-focused IT professional who combines strong analytical skills with excellent stakeholder management capabilities. You enjoy solving complex business challenges, influencing decision-makers and translating business needs into practical IT solutions.

• Experience as an IT Business Analyst, IT Consultant, Solution Designer, IT Project Lead or similar role
• Experience within Supply Chain, Logistics or a complex operational environment
• The ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
• Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills
• Excellent stakeholder management capabilities at different organizational levels
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• A proactive and results-oriented mindset
• The ability to balance operational, technical and commercial considerations
• A passion for continuous learning and personal development
• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within international matrix organizations

Technical expertise

• Strong understanding of Supply Chain IT applications, including:
• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
• Order Management solutions
• Visibility platforms
• EDI and integration solutions
• Experience with solution design and IT implementations
• Knowledge of SQL, databases and operating systems is a plus
• Experience with Manhattan solutions is  considered a strong asset
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
