Corporate Life officer - Underwriting & Policy Servicing

Within the ‘Life Operations’ department, which manages our clients' Life Insurance policies (corporate and individual), the ‘Life Corporate’ department focuses on group insurance for employees and self-employed individuals.

The team consists of about twenty colleagues who are looking forward to welcoming you!

Your responsibilities

As a Life Corporate Manager – Underwriting & Policy Servicing, you are responsible, among other things, for your own client portfolio and the end-to-end management of their insurance files. You are therefore responsible, among other things, for:

• Issuing new contracts (offer analysis, regulation interpretation, entry into our database, etc.);
• Applying necessary modifications to existing contracts (premium increases and recalculations, product changes, civil status adjustments, etc.);
• Monitoring terminations, based on information provided by employers, and ensuring database updates;
• Processing annual plan renewals according to the production schedule (salary collection, updating affiliation listings, legal ceilings, etc.);
• Monitoring several processes within your client portfolio (premium payments, disputes, etc.) in line with the quality standards defined by Athora Belgium;
• Managing the transfer of acquired reserves according to client wishes;
• Handling client and broker requests via email and phone;
• Ensuring the follow-up of Sigedis communication, as well as processing information provided by this organization.
• Working closely with our commercial, claims, and medical teams to offer quality service to clients, affiliates, and brokers;
• Occasionally accompanying sales managers on client visits;
• Escalating suggestions for continuous improvement of operational processes to your Team Lead.

Your profile

• You hold a bachelor's degree in insurance, accounting, or economics, or have equivalent experience.
• You can demonstrate initial experience of 3 years in Life insurance, preferably in group insurance.
• You have an excellent command of French or Dutch with a very good command of the other national language; you can also communicate easily both orally and in writing.
• You have a good knowledge of MS Office.
• You are client and solution-oriented.
• You are meticulous, organized, and aim for results both in your client portfolio and for the entire team.
• You can work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• You are autonomous and take initiative.
• You are, of course, a team player.
