Our client in the financial services sector is seeking a Business Analyst with a solid background in software development to join their team in Brussels. You will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT, ensuring that software solutions meet business needs in a complex and highly regulated environment.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements.
Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional specifications for development teams.
Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and project managers to ensure successful delivery of software solutions.
Bridge the gap between business and IT using a strong understanding of financial products and software development practices.
Analyse existing systems and processes to identify areas of improvement or automation.
Participate in solution design, testing, user acceptance, and post-implementation support.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal governance standards.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the financial services sector (e.g., banking, insurance, investment).
Software development background (e.g., Java, .NET, Python, or other modern stacks).
Strong understanding of systems integration, data flows, and API usage.
Solid knowledge of SDLC (Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall environments).
Experience with UML, BPMN, or other modeling tools.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge of tools like JIRA, Confluence, or Enterprise Architect.
Bilingual in English and either Dutch or French.
