Procurement & Project Medewerker

Context Under the direct supervision of the Project Associate, under the guidance of the Head of Unit for Labour Mobility and Social Inclusion (LMI) and under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission in the Country Office for Belgium and Luxembourg, the incumbent will assist the LMI Head of Unit with the implementation of projects related to Labour Mobility and Social Inclusion of the IOM Country Office, in particular the SHIELD project. In addition to this, the incumbent will be expected support activities related to the organization of new projects in the LMI Team.

Help the project associate with the preparation of documents related to project budget, project contracts, administration, terms of reference, procurement, privacy, etc. and liaise with internal units at IOM (finance team, legal team, etc.) Assist the project associate, in drafting the final narrative and financial reports to be submitted to the donor;and other stakeholders (such as the Belgian government, universities and the private sector) relevant for the LMI Unit;Draft conference presentations and speeches related to Labour Mobility and/or social inclusion for the Head of Unit or the Chief of Mission;Education Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in economics, social science, migration studies or related field from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience. Proven understanding of the Belgian context relating to migration and integration;A previous working experience in the field of ‘labour mobility’, ‘social inclusion’ or ‘migrant protection’ is an advantage;Skills Strong organizational and time-management skills;Languages Fluency in English, French and Dutch is required (oral and written).IOM’s official languages are English, French and Spanish.Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments. Produces and delivers quality results in a service-oriented and timely manner.
