3D Modeller – Unity / XR
We are looking for a talented 3D Modeller to join an innovative XR team developing immersive training and simulation environments. You will create realistic 3D assets, environments and materials for VR, AR and MR experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Create high-quality 3D models of characters, vehicles, props, equipment and environments using Blender
Develop realistic PBR textures and materials
Perform UV unwrapping, sculpting, topology optimization and asset preparation
Optimize models for real-time XR performance, including poly counts, LODs, UV layouts and texture resolution
Prepare, export and integrate 3D assets into Unity
Build immersive environments, buildings and props based on real-world locations and scenarios
Rapidly prototype and iterate on assets based on feedback from users, artists and developers
Collaborate with programmers, designers, project leads and operational stakeholders
Maintain documentation covering asset pipelines, naming conventions and workflows
Research and apply new 3D modelling and XR technologies to improve quality and efficiency
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in 3D Art, Game Design, Animation or a related field , or equivalent proven industry experience
Strong proficiency in Blender , including:
3D modelling
Sculpting
UV unwrapping
Texturing
Material creation
Experience creating 3D assets and/or environments for games or XR
Strong understanding of PBR texturing workflows
Experience with tools such as Substance Painter or Substance Designer
Experience optimizing assets for real-time VR/AR/MR applications
Experience exporting and integrating assets into a game engine, preferably Unity
Excellent eye for detail, proportion and realism
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Nice to Have
Experience with 3D scanning and digital reconstruction
Knowledge of LiDAR and photogrammetry
Experience optimizing 3D scan data
Previous experience in police, defence, security or operational training environments
Experience creating realistic simulation or training environments
Portfolio Required
A comprehensive portfolio showcasing previous 3D modelling, game development or XR work is required .
