The organisation is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer to support a major enterprise security programme in Brussels. This role focuses on managing, supporting, and optimising Fortinet security environments, including FortiMail, while maintaining secure, resilient, and high-performing enterprise networks.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and support FortiMail within an enterprise environment.
• Configure, maintain and troubleshoot Fortinet security solutions.
• Monitor and optimise secure email services, including anti-spam, anti-malware and email security policies.
• Investigate and resolve network and security-related incidents.
• Implement security best practices and support infrastructure improvements.
• Work closely with network, infrastructure and security teams to deliver project objectives.
• Assist with deployments, upgrades, migrations and ongoing operational support.
• Produce technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Strong experience working with Fortinet technologies.
• Exposure to FortiMail (expert-level knowledge is not essential).
• NSE 7 certification is highly desirable.
• CCNP certification or equivalent networking experience.
• Approximately 5–10 years of experience in network and security engineering.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching and enterprise networking.
• Experience troubleshooting complex network security issues.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work within an international technical team.
• Clearance
• Candidates should be eligible to undergo project security vetting.

Contract Details:

• Brussels-based assignment.
• September start.
• Initial 6–12 month contract.

Salary:

• €450/day, depending on experience.
