Credit Controller

Your Mission

At Puratos, we believe that sustainable growth starts with strong financial foundations. As Credit Controller Belux, you play a key role in safeguarding the financial health of our business by ensuring effective credit management, healthy cash flow, and proactive risk mitigation.

You will act as a trusted business partner for customers, Sales, Customer Service, and Finance teams, ensuring a professional and customer-focused approach to credit and collections. By combining financial insight, strong communication skills, and a continuous improvement mindset, you will help optimize working capital while supporting profitable business growth.

Key Accountabilities 

• Manage credit and collection activities for the Belux region, ensuring timely payment collection and effective follow-up of outstanding receivables.
• Assess customer creditworthiness and support the definition and monitoring of appropriate credit limits.
• Monitor customer exposure and payment behaviour , identify risks proactively, and initiate collection actions where needed.
• Contribute to healthy cash flow performance by reducing overdue balances, minimizing doubtful debts, and supporting DSO improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and group guidelines , while maintaining accurate and reliable financial and ERP data.
• Support audits and financial reporting activities , ensuring high standards of accuracy and governance.
• Drive process improvements and digitalization initiatives that enhance efficiency, reporting quality, and data-driven decision-making.
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders , acting as a constructive partner in resolving payment-related matters.

Who are we looking for?

• You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or you have equivalent experience.
• You have at least 5 years of experience in credit control, collections, accounts receivable, or a similar finance role.
• You are fluent in Dutch, French, and English or are comfortable working in a multilingual environment.
• You have experience working with SAP, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications .
• You combine strong analytical skills with a solution-oriented mindset and the ability to prioritize effectively.
• You communicate confidently and build positive relationships while remaining appropriately assertive when needed.
• You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working across departments to achieve common goals.
• You are motivated by continuous improvement and actively seek opportunities to improve processes and ways of working.
