International Key Account Manager

Daikin Europe NV (DENV) is a subsidiary of Daikin Industries Limited, a Japanese outstanding company and worldwide the biggest developer, producer and supplier of HVAC-R (heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration) solutions, including heating pumps and cooling technology.

DENV is Daikin’s sales, R&D, and production headquarters for Europe, the Middle-East and Africa. The headquarter has Belgian offices in Brussels, Ghent and Ostend, as well as 8 production plants, 24 sales subsidiaries and offices and a whole network of independent distributors and dealers across the EMEA region.

Role Summary :
We are looking for a driven  International Key Account Manager HVAC to  identify, prospect, acquire, and develop , and nurture high-value partnerships with  global Industrial clients across the  EMEA region . In this role, you will combine strategic relationship building with hands-on sales execution to drive revenue growth, increase market share, and deliver exceptional value to our customers. 

Key Responsibilities :

• Proactively identify, target, and secure new International Industrial Key Accounts through strategic prospecting, networking, and business development activities across the EMEA region.

• Identify, qualify, and secure new International Key Accounts, with a primary focus on new business acquisition and strategic customer development within the industrial market segment.

• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective Industrial clients , ensuring a continuous flow of opportunities to achieve ambitious growth targets.

• Drive new business sales, revenue growth, and profitability for Daikin Europe in the short, medium, and long term.

• Build strong, trust-based relationships with key decision-makers, both locally and at headquarters level.

• Analyse industrial market dynamics and map target organisations to identify high-potential opportunities and key decision-makers.

• Understand industrial market trends, store operating requirements, sustainability objectives, and customer challenges to provide tailored, value-added HVAC solutions.

• Oversee contract implementation across multiple countries, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and mobilise Daikin Group expertise to deliver business objectives. 

• Explore and implement new business models or customised solutions for strategic accounts. 

• Negotiate frame agreements, organise client seminars, and develop annual sales budget plans. 

• Maintain a high level of customer engagement with a minimum of 40 key account meetings annually.

• Monitor customer organisational changes and Daikin product innovations to strengthen loyalty and retention. 

Your Profile :

• Master’s degree in engineering or economics preferred. 

• 5+ years of experience in Business Development, Strategic Sales, or Key Account Management , with a proven track record of acquiring and growing major international accounts, ideally within the HVAC sector (technical knowledge a plus).

• Demonstrated success in prospecting, lead generation, opportunity creation , and closing complex multi-country commercial agreements.

• Skilled in  consultative selling ,  value creation , and long-term strategic planning. 

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities. 

• Highly motivated hunter profile with a passion for prospecting, opening doors, building new relationships, and closing strategic deals.

• Fluent in  English ; additional languages are an asset. 

• Willing to travel up to 30% of your time.
