Actuarial Analyst

Within our Business Change & Monitoring department, we are looking for an Actuarial Analyst who can contribute to the control of technical risks and the regulatory compliance of the Life business.

He/she combines technical and applied actuarial support to ensure data reliability, quality of legal declarations, execution of complex actuarial calculations, and continuous adaptation of processes to regulatory changes related to pensions.

Your responsibilities

As an Actuarial Analyst, you are notably responsible for:

1. Actuarial expertise and business support

• Perform complex actuarial calculations at the policy level, particularly within the framework of the LPC (vested rights, terminations, special cases)
• Provide technical and actuarial support to management teams
• Contribute to technical analyses and ad hoc studies

2. Regulatory compliance and legal declarations (pensions)

• Ensure the production, control, and monitoring of legal declarations related to pensions
• Guarantee the quality, consistency, and completeness of transmitted data
• Implement and execute in-depth controls on data before submission
• Analyze feedback and identify anomalies or discrepancies
• Define and manage structural action plans to permanently correct the root causes of problems. Collaborate with internal teams to improve data quality at the source
• Automate declaration processes and associated analyses to improve the reliability and efficiency of processing

3. Technical controls and risk management

• Perform monthly controls of mathematical reserves and technical data
• Identify, analyze, and monitor anomalies (data, systems, processes) until their resolution
• Contribute to the internal control system and its documentation
• Detect recurring operational risks and propose improvement or automation solutions

4. Continuous improvement and transformation

• Ensure regulatory watch related to pension calculations and declarations and anticipate the impacts of regulatory changes
• Identify and implement process optimizations
• Proactively develop automation tools and solutions
• Contribute to cross-functional projects (IT, Legal, Finance, Operations)

Your profile

• You have a Master's degree in actuarial science.
• You have a minimum of 3 years of experience as an actuary in life insurance.
• You have good knowledge of life products and actuarial mechanisms.
• You have a good understanding of reserves, vested rights, and the pension regulatory framework (LPC).
• You are proficient in Excel; knowledge of other tools such as SAS or similar tools is a plus.
• You have a good command of French or Dutch, with a good understanding of the other national language, and a good knowledge of English.
• You are structured, rigorous, and solution-oriented.
• You are able to work autonomously while collaborating with different departments.
• You manage your priorities effectively in an environment with tight deadlines.
• You have an analytical and critical mind and are proactive.
