About Our Client
Our client is a market-leading organization in the Belgian mobility and transport sector.
Job Description
- Lead and execute complex internal audit assignments across the organization and, from planning to reporting
- Assess risks, evaluate internal controls, and challenge existing processes to drive continuous improvement
- Deliver clear, structured, and action-oriented audit reports, with pragmatic and value-adding recommendations
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define action plans and ensure proper follow-up on implementation
- Contribute to the risk-based audit plan, continuously reassessed based on evolving priorities
- Work on a wide range of audit topics, including operations, IT, HR, procurement, safety, and customer-facing activities
- Coordinate with external audit partners for specific expertise (e.g., IT audits) while ensuring the quality of deliverables
- Play a key role in the continuous improvement of audit methodologies, tools, and processes
- Act as a coach and reference point for less experienced auditors, supporting their development and ensuring overall team quality
The Successful Applicant
- Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in internal audit (ideally within complex or large organizations)
- Strong understanding of audit methodologies, and risk analysis
- Experience in coaching or leading auditors and acting as a functional reference
- Ability to navigate both operational environments and senior management interactions
- Working proficiency in French and Dutch is mandatory
