Principal Scientist position leading drug product research and development teams at a pharmaceutical company. The role integrates activities across formulation, manufacturing, and clinical development phases while ensuring scientific excellence and project advancement.
Responsibilities
- Lead sub-team of drug product scientists across oral solids, parenterals, and primary container development
- Implement drug product development strategy through clinical phases and lifecycle management
- Drive formulation and process robustness aligned with quality-by-design principles and cost/time objectives
- Represent drug product development as core CMC team member and co-lead BioPharm cross-functional teams
- Manage product risk registers, governance reviews, and ensure problem identification and resolution
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biochemical Engineering, or related field
- 5-10 years pharmaceutical industry drug product development experience
- Demonstrated expertise in manufacturing process scale-up and technical transfer
- Leadership capability in cross-functional integration and multifunctional collaboration
- Strong technical understanding of formulation and manufacturing processes
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills
Compensation: €79,800-€137,770 base
