Medical Writer III, Oncology

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Medical Writer III for oncology regulatory medical writing in Beerse, Belgium or Leiden, Netherlands (hybrid, 3 days onsite). The role involves writing clinical and regulatory documents, leading cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior staff within the Innovative Medicine division.

Responsibilities

• Write and coordinate clinical and regulatory documents including CSRs, IBs, protocols, and regulatory responses
• Lead cross-functional document planning and review meetings with clinical and regulatory teams
• Function as lead writer on compounds or submissions, serving as primary point of contact for medical writing activities
• Establish document timelines and strategies in accordance with internal processes
• Coach and mentor junior staff on document planning, processes, and content; provide peer review

Requirements

• University degree in scientific discipline; advanced degree preferred
• Minimum 6 years pharmaceutical/scientific industry experience with 4+ years regulatory medical writing
• Oncology therapeutic area experience preferred
• Proficiency in written and spoken English with ability to work across global time zones
• Strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills under supervision
• Ability to interpret complex statistical and medical information for regulatory documents
• Mentoring competency and learning agility with strong attention to detail
