Location: East Flanders, Belgium Contract Type: Freelance / ZZP Contract Length: 3-6 Months Start: ASAP A specialist engineering company operating within industrial process and material handling systems is looking for an experienced Field Service Technician to strengthen its service team. This is a hands-on role supporting customers across Belgium, carrying out maintenance, troubleshooting and repair activities on industrial installations. You will start each day from the company's workshop in East Flanders before travelling to customer sites, working independently to diagnose faults and restore equipment to full operation. The ideal candidate will have a strong electromechanical background, excellent fault-finding abilities and the confidence to represent the business professionally while working directly with customers. Responsibilities - Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial installations
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults
- Replace and repair motors, drives, sensors and other equipment components
- Carry out service interventions at customer sites across Belgium
- Identify root causes of failures and implement lasting solutions
- Complete service reports and technical documentation Requirements - Experience as a Field Service Technician, Maintenance Technician or Electromechanical Technician
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
- Good mechanical maintenance experience
- Experience working with industrial machinery and automated systems
- Ability xlxgzvr to work independently at customer locations
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
- Customer-facing experience is highly desirable
- Basic automation knowledge is beneficial but not essential
- Dutch is mandatory
- French is advantageous Additional Information - Full-time position
- Daily travel to customer sites throughout Belgium
- Typical start time between 06:00 and 07:00
- Typical finish time between 16:00 and 18:00
- Saturday work required twice per month
- Immediate start available
