Junior Material Scientist / Chemist - Self-Healing Materials R&D
Join an innovative Brussels deep-tech startup developing next-generation self-healing polymer technology for puncture-proof car and bike tires.
We are looking for a hands-on Junior Material Scientist / Chemist to help scale advanced materials from lab innovation to industrial application.
Your role
- Develop and optimize polymer formulations
- Perform material testing and characterization
- Evaluate puncture resistance, durability and healing performance
- Support scale-up toward pilot and industrial production
- Collaborate with scientists, engineers and commercial teams
Your profile
- Bachelor's or Master's in Chemistry, Materials Science, Polymer Science or Chemical Engineering
- 0-8 years of experience
- Internship/thesis in polymers or soft materials is a plus
- Curious, structured and eager to learn
- Fluent in English (Dutch/French is a plus)
