Purchasing Manager Packaging

As our Purchasing Manager Packaging , you ensure the efficient and cost-effective sourcing of packaging materials from supplier selection to daily procurement operations. You work closely with internal teams to secure supply continuity, optimize supplier performance, and support compliance with evolving regulations, while driving continuous improvement in purchasing processes.

Your responsibilities

• Perform RFI / RFQ and final selection in collaboration with major internal stakeholders
• Assure that all appropriate stakeholders are engaged during correct periods throughout the sourcing process.
• Contract negotiations
• Follow up on material indexes and pricing
• Contract administration and documentation
• Manage day-to-day purchasing activities for packaging materials
• Ensure timely deliveries and resolve supply issues
• Maintain regular communication with suppliers (orders, pricing, availability)
• Monitor supplier performance and follow up on KPIs
• Handle first-level quality or delivery issues with suppliers in collaboration with internal teams
• Work closely with stakeholders from production, quality, supply chain and business
• Direct the research and analysis of sourcing opportunities and emerging technologies in international markets to comply with all new regulation PPWR

Your profile

• Degree in Supply chain or engineering
• 2–5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus
• Knowledge of SAP (or similar ERP system)
• Willingness to learn and embrace AI capabilities in purchasing activities
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented mindset
• Fluent in English & Dutch are required for this position
