Are you a recent graduate or a young professional looking to build a meaningful career in Property Underwriting ? Zurich Insurance Benelux invites you to join our Insurance Traineeship (Property) program: a 16‑month program designed to help you grow into a future insurance professional through hands‑on experience, learning on the job, and close collaboration with various teams and departments. As insurance trainee at Zurich Benelux, you will become part of the Property home team while also getting the chance to rotate to 2 other host teams (e.g. Claims, Sales etc) to gain a better understanding of our business.

As trainee in  Property Underwriting, you are responsible for assessing and accepting property risks for the wide range of clients we insure. You determine the insurance premium based on information you receive and the various insurance conditions, which are tailored to the risk profile, needs, and whishes of the client. Of course you don’t do this alone; you’ll be working with other underwriters, our risk engineers, and insurance brokers. Underwriting gives you a chance to combine analytical and critical thinking with commercial flair. Together with your colleagues you will build up further your expertise in property underwriting.

• 16‑month structured program (via an open-end contract)
• Start in September 2026
• Fully based out of our Belgian office in Zaventem
• Combination of UWR Property home team and host team rotations
• Preparation for a long-term (junior) role within Zurich Benelux

Program structure

• Home team (6 months)
  You start in Property Underwriting as Home Team where you take on core responsibilities and build a solid foundation. This is also the team you will return to after completing the program.
• 2 host team rotations of 5 months each
  The host team rotations are designed to broaden your perspective by exposing you to different sides of our business. You will work on hands‑on, value‑adding assignments, develop new skills, and gain deeper business insight.
• January 2028
  You return to your home team, ready to start in a junior role with a strong foundation of experience.

You bring:

• min. Bachelor degree and 0–2 years of work experience
• Fluency in Dutch and English (non‑negotiable)
• You reside in Belgium (and available to start in September 2026)
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn
• Interest in insurance, business, and personal development
