Business Analyst

Our client in the financial services sector is seeking a Business Analyst with a solid background in software development to join their team in Brussels. You will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT, ensuring that software solutions meet business needs in a complex and highly regulated environment.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements.
  

• Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional specifications for development teams.
  

• Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and project managers to ensure successful delivery of software solutions.
  

• Bridge the gap between business and IT using a strong understanding of financial products and software development practices.
  

• Analyse existing systems and processes to identify areas of improvement or automation.
  

• Participate in solution design, testing, user acceptance, and post-implementation support.
  

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal governance standards.
  

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the financial services sector (e.g., banking, insurance, investment).
  

• Software development background (e.g., Java, .NET, Python, or other modern stacks).
  

• Strong understanding of systems integration, data flows, and API usage.
  

• Solid knowledge of SDLC (Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall environments).
  

• Experience with UML, BPMN, or other modeling tools.
  

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  

• Knowledge of tools like JIRA, Confluence, or Enterprise Architect.
  

• Bilingual in English and either Dutch or French.
