What will you be doing?

• Take charge of incident management, resolving security challenges with precision and expertise.
• Ensure excellence by conducting quality reviews of incidents handled by colleagues.
• Deliver impactful reports while keeping clients informed and offering tailored security advice.
• Drive meaningful change by providing strategic recommendations to enhance security measures.
• Foster growth by sharing your knowledge and expertise with the team.
• Showcase innovation through the preparation of engaging demos and the development of cutting-edge Proofs of Concept.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all tasks and expectations directed toward the SOC during CSIRT incidents.
• Lead and coach colleagues to foster growth and collaboration within the team.

A day in the life of a SOC analyst at spotit

Your morning kicks off with a team briefing and a fresh coffee. Together, you discuss ongoing incidents and security priorities. An alert comes in— incident management takes center stage. You analyze the threat, resolve the issue with precision, and communicate clear actions to the client.

Before noon, you shift gears to quality reviews . You assess incidents handled by colleagues, offering feedback that raises the bar for excellence. Then it’s time to deliver a client report —you don’t just share data but offer tailored advice to strengthen their security posture.

In the afternoon, you innovate. Whether you’re preparing a demo to showcase a new solution or developing a Proof of Concept , you push the boundaries of what’s possible. A CSIRT incident arises, and you step up as the key point of contact , coordinating tasks and keeping everyone aligned.

As the day wraps up, you focus on the team. You coach a colleague , share insights, or brainstorm improvements. By fostering collaboration, you help everyone grow.

Your profile

• You have at least 4 to 5 years of experience as a security analyst.
• You are passionate about cybersecurity and strive to stay on top of new developments.
• Your pockets are filled with security principles and best practices.
• You have experience with technologies such as Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender Stack (Endpoint, O365, ...), Palo Alto Cortex XDR, Active Directory, ...
• You are comfortable taking the lead and coaching team member to the next level.
• You are critical, detect problems and propose adequate solutions.
• You have a strong external focus and are able to map relevant actions to spotit and its customers.
• You are proactive, communicative, result-driven and a real teamplayer.
• You speak fluently Dutch and English (French is a plus).
