Operational Cybersecurity engineer (M/F/X)

Your role

As an Operational Cybersecurity Engineer , you play a key role in ensuring the cybersecurity of both IT and industrial systems at one of our major industrial sites. Acting as the local cybersecurity expert , you work closely with corporate cybersecurity teams and local IT teams to implement, maintain, and improve cybersecurity processes and solutions.

You are at the crossroads between operations, technology, and security , contributing directly to the protection of people, assets, and data.

Activities

• Implement and maintain group cybersecurity standards and processes at local level
• Act as the local cybersecurity point of contact for operational teams
• Support the protection of industrial and corporate IT environments
• Monitor cybersecurity activities, risks, and incidents, and provide reporting
• Participate in audits, risk assessments, and cybersecurity exercises
• Support local IT teams with cybersecurity expertise and best practices
• Contribute to continuous improvement of cybersecurity processes and tools

Candidate Profile

• University degree in IT, cybersecurity, or equivalent experience
• Initial experience (2-3 years) in cybersecurity within an enterprise or industrial environment
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure and security (Windows Server, virtualisation, networks, etc.)
• Interest in or exposure to industrial / OT cybersecurity is a strong asset
• Structured, analytical and solution-oriented mindset
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with different stakeholders

• Dutch and English are required
• French is an asset
