You are part of the Application & Market Development (AMD) Team that delivers technical solutions and applications to various industries in the Benelux & France (BNF) area. These applications are using industrial gases to improve production processes.
As Combustion Engineer you are accountable for the development of combustion and general industry applications in the following industries : Steel, Ferrous and Non-ferrous, Glass, Minerals, Cement, Waste Incineration and Gasification, Refineries, Petrochemical and Heat Treatment.
Your main goal is to implement Nippon Gases’ application technologies at existing and prospective customers.
Your function includes opportunity identification, market and customer strategy, customer case development and analysis, proposals and test/demonstration/start-up coordination.
You will be reporting to the Application & Market Development (AMD) Manager BNF.
Define and identifty opportunities for combustion application technology, and establish relationships with potential customers.
Have technical discussions and meetings with customers and potential customers about Nippon Gases’ combustion application technologies.
Obtain, as required, technical input and assistance from the European and Global Combustion & R&D group.
Actively participate in the sales process, together with regional sales & marketing teams.
Develop and provide application related sales tools : technical proposals, presentations, combustion application summaries, economic evaluations, etc.
Interact with the Technical Service Team for the specification of required application equipment.
Plan and lead field tests/demonstrations/start-ups at customer location, together with the Technical Service Team.
Lead in the planning, execution, and documentation of the Proactive Application Safety Review Program.
Identify and meet application training needs for regional sales & marketing teams.
Remain current on internal and external combustion application technology development.
Take the lead for the BNF region in the European Market Network (EMN) Combustion :
Report to the EMN
Participate to EMN meetings
Develop technical knowhow of new and existing combustion applications through technical discussions within the EMN

Job requirements

You have an engineering degree in metallurgical, materials or mechanical engineering and/or3 years of relevant experience with industrial combustion processes.
You are familiar with the principles of combustion.
You enjoy to get a good understanding of production processes, and to discuss and interact with customers about opportunities to improve these processes.
You have an innovative attitude, you are proactive, service-minded, stress resistant and a team player.
Project execution is one of your strongest competencies.
You are familiar with Sales & Marketing.
You are fluent in English and French, knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
Travelling in Benelux, France and occasionally W-Europe is not a problem for you.
