As a sustainability consultant at Arcadis, you know that sustainability is much more than just energy-saving measures. You advise our clients on how to make their buildings, portfolios, or operations more sustainable by focusing on energy and carbon, climate adaptability, and circularity, while considering the well-being of end-users, biodiversity, and the impact of a project on the environment.

You can be deployed as a sustainability advisor in new construction and renovation projects, assisting our design engineers in developing sustainable and future-oriented solutions. But you will also be involved in advisory projects for existing buildings and portfolios, where transition plans are determined towards ambitious sustainability goals.

You will join a dynamic, multidisciplinary, and inclusive team of sustainability consultants in a global organization, connected with international colleagues and their insights. You will specifically work in a project environment, where you will come into contact with various aspects of sustainability in the short term.

As a sustainability consultant, you take ownership of your projects, eventually managing your own projects, within a team framework where you can always seek advice and guidance from your colleagues. We also expect an open and positive attitude from you.

Qualifications & Experience:

You have a degree in civil or industrial engineering, architectural engineering, or equivalent through experience.
Some experience with energy efficiency, sustainable energy production, or other sustainability themes such as water, materials, biodiversity, or building technologies is required.
You are a team player who is also productive when working independently.
You have a hands-on mentality and will take ownership of your projects and responsibilities.
You combine critical thinking with a sustainable mindset.
Experience with sustainable business practices, management systems, or assessments such as BREEAM is a plus.
In addition to your knowledge of one of the official languages (Dutch or French), you can also express yourself fluently in English. Bilingualism is a significant asset.
