Senior Product Design Engineer

As a Senior Product Engineer on the Payday team (Enterprise features), you won't just write code—you’ll solve business problems for our enterprise users . Your primary focus will be on designing , building , and delivering high-impact features that address the needs of larger teams using n8n.
You’ll own features end-to-end and work across the stack, collaborating closely with Product and Design to translate complex requirements into robust, scalable, and user-friendly solutions.
We're looking for someone who brings strong engineering skills and a product mindset —someone who cares about user impact, focusing on why we're building something just as much as how .
What we've shipped
Enhanced Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) allowing allowing administrators to precisely control user access to workflows, credentials, and execution data, improving security and compliance.
Git-backed Environments to enable teams to adopt safer development lifecycles (e.g. Development, Staging, Production), allowing controlled versioning and promotion of workflows without impacting live automation workflows.
5+ years of professional software engineering experience, primarily focused on building web applications or SaaS products.

• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript .
• Experience working with Vue.js or other modern frontend frameworks (e.g. React, Angular).
• Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g. Experience shipping features end-to-end in a product-driven environment, demonstrating ownership from concept to deployment.
• Experience with modern testing practices and frameworks (e.g. Excellent communication and collaboration skills , with a track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams
• You value feedback, believe in continuous learning, and enjoy working with others to create a positive team environment.

Experience developing features specifically for enterprise software (e.g. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
