Who we are supporting
The NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) is responsible for providing secure and effective communications and information technology (IT) services to NATOs member countries and its partners. Cyber Security: The NCIA provides advanced cybersecurity solutions to protect NATOs communication networks and information systems against cyber threats.
Electronic Warfare: The NCIA provides electronic warfare services to support NATOs mission to detect deny and defeat threats to its communication networks.
Information Management: The NCIA manages NATOs information technology infrastructure including its databases applications and servers.
Overall the NCIA plays a critical role in ensuring the security and effectiveness of NATOs communication and information technology capabilities.
It provides maintains and defends the NATO enterprise-wide information technology infrastructure to enable Allies to consult together under Article IV and when required stand together in the face of attack under Article V.
NATO International Civilians (NIC)s Military (Mil) and Interim Workforce Consultants (IWC)s. Selects adopts and adapts appropriate systems development methods tools and techniques.
Provides technical expertise to enable the configuration of system components and equipment for systems testing.
Collaborates with technical teams to develop and agree system integration plans and report on progress.
Ensures that integration test environments are correctly configured.
Designs performs and reports results of tests of the integration build.
Take responsibility for understanding client requirements collecting data supporting the analysis and problem resolution.
Support coherence standardization effort assure quality of products and alignment across the systems in the use of the optimal technologies leading to faster implementation and reduced cost of maintenance.
Contribute to the early Solution Architecting team activities related to customer support to upcoming requirements.
Act as the interface to the CTO Early Engagement to allow the smooth transition of customer requirements to the NIMSC Project teams.
Experience with drafting ICT design and/or software development and planning of system and software delivery for large C4ISR projects
Experience in identifying and assessing new and emerging technologies and their adoption into larger systems
Experience in developing technology roadmaps taking into account emerging technology solutions.
Proven ability to moderate technical design related discussions with multi-disciplinary teams.
A minimum requirement of a Bachelors degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 2 years post-related experience.
Proven ability in process analysis and design techniques including needs assessment specification development planning and gap analysis
Knowledge and experience with Military C4ISR systems requirement capture analysis and specifications.
