Finance Manager

At BOI, finance sits close to the business. As Finance Manager you'll own the full finance function across our Belgian and US entities, from daily operations to management reporting, compliance, and system infrastructure. You report directly to the COO and work with our Belgian accountants and US CPA.

This is the right role if you've built your foundation in a Big 4 or finance outsourcing environment and want to stop advising and start owning. You'll be the internal finance lead in a fast-growing, international AI studio of around 50 people, with real scope, real decisions, and no-one above you in finance.

What you'll do

You'll own end-to-end finance across both our Belgian and US entities. You won't be handed a fully built system, you'll help shape it.

You will:

• Run monthly close and management accounts, cash flow monitoring, and short-term forecasting
• Track project profitability and produce ad hoc financial analysis for the COO and partners
• Own client invoicing, revenue recognition, AR follow-up, and intercompany billing between entities
• Manage AP processing, supplier payment runs, consultant expense reimbursements, and bank reconciliation
• Handle VAT filings, Belgian tax compliance, and US compliance coordination with our CPA
• Coordinate payroll with our Belgian social secretariat
• Manage our current finance stack (Exact Online, Xero, Spendesk, Google Sheets, Bright Analytics) and co-own our Odoo migration through end of year, taking over full operational management once it goes live

What we're looking for

At least 5 years in finance, ideally in a Big 4 or finance outsourcing environment, you know the rigor, and now you want to own something. You're done advising and ready to run a full finance function in a fast-moving international scale-up. Experience in a professional services or project-based business is a plus — you'll need to understand how time and revenue connect. Exposure to US entity finance is an asset. You're comfortable owning a system migration from day one, not just landing in one after the decisions were made. Fluent in English and Dutch.
