Lab Equipment Lead

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Lab Equipment Lead to oversee the Analytical Instrument Qualification team within CAR-T manufacturing in Belgium. This people leader role combines team management, operational support, project portfolio oversight, and compliance to ensure analytical instruments remain qualified and fit for intended use.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop AIQ engineers and specialists; manage performance and succession planning
- Oversee operational AIQ activities including instrument qualification, periodic reviews, and lifecycle management
- Plan, prioritize, and execute multiple concurrent AIQ projects within scope, schedule, and budget
- Collaborate with Operations, QC, QA, and Engineering to align AIQ activities with organizational priorities
- Ensure compliance with GMP requirements, corporate procedures, and regulatory expectations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field
- 7-10 years in pharmaceutical, biotech, manufacturing, validation, or engineering environments
- Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and managing complex projects
- Strong knowledge of GMP, qualification, and validation principles
- Experience with analytical equipment qualification and lifecycle management
- Strategic thinking and effective stakeholder management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Compensation: €72,500–€115,230 base
