About the role:
Water doesn't follow a schedule. One moment it's calm laps and pool noodles, the next it's a call for help. As a Lifeguard at ROVA, you're the one who reads the room, watching every corner of the pool, spotting risk before it becomes a problem, and moving fast when it matters.
You won't control the water. You'll navigate it, shifting your attention, adjusting your position, and staying sharp so everyone else can just enjoy the pool. Reporting to the Pool Coordinator, this role is built for people who stay steady when things get unpredictable.
Your responsibilities:
Monitor the pool and surrounding areas continuously, spotting risks early and enforcing rules to prevent incidents.
Deliver first aid and rescue response when needed, acting fast and calmly under pressure.

Valid (in date) lifeguard qualification, BSSA Certification.
A minimum of 1 year of experience working as a lifeguard.
Valid First Aid and Health and Safety certificates.
Fluent in French and English, spoken and written.
Sharp observational skills, you read situations quickly by watching and listening closely.
Stay calm, focused, and effective under pressure and in unforeseen situations.
Communicate clearly and confidently with clients and colleagues, translate instruction to people with all levels of experience.
Work independently, take initiative, and collaborate well with your wider team to get the job done.
