Business Development Manager Gene Therapy (f/m/d)

Cytiva seeks a Business Development Manager to drive commercial growth of gene therapy and advanced therapy solutions across Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, and France. The role combines technical expertise in bioprocessing with commercial strategy to expand customer adoption and order growth in viral vectors, nucleic acids, and next-generation biologics.

Responsibilities

• Manage advanced therapy workflows including viral vectors, vaccines, nucleic acids, and oligonucleotides with understanding of development and manufacturing
• Drive order growth by expanding Cytiva technologies with existing customers and introducing solutions through Design-In initiatives
• Partner with Field Application Specialists to demonstrate technologies, deliver training, and communicate value differentiation at customer sites
• Support marketing and lead generation by collaborating on regional events, congresses, and customer engagements to generate qualified leads
• Maintain CRM pipeline including MQLs, Design-In projects, and opportunities aligned with organizational playbooks

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or Chemical Engineering
• Strong experience in bioprocessing, cell and gene therapy, vaccines, or advanced therapy commercialization
• Demonstrated knowledge of viral vectors, nucleic acids, or cell-based manufacturing processes
• Proficiency with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, for opportunity and funnel tracking
• Experience supporting Design-In programs or technical evaluations of complex bioprocessing technologies
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to travel 40-50% within assigned territory
