Principal Engineer Platform/Cloud Engineering

Principal Engineer position within Johnson & Johnson's R&D Advanced Computing group, focusing on platform and cloud engineering for digital imaging technologies. Responsibilities
- Set and implement technology strategy and roadmaps for digital imaging platforms across therapeutics
- Design and deploy generative AI and agentic AI solutions including LLM applications and RAG systems
- Architect cloud-based solutions leveraging AWS or Azure with focus on scalability and cost optimization
- Lead and mentor junior team members while establishing technology leadership across the organization
- Collaborate with business partners and cross-functional IT groups to identify opportunities and drive platform capabilities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or related field with 6+ years industry experience
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or related field with 4+ years industry experience
- Proven ability to lead technology initiatives and teams
- Cloud platform expertise (AWS or Azure)
- Experience with containerization, serverless, and AI/ML technologies
- Knowledge of digital imaging, pathology, or radiology applications
- Demonstrated technology strategy and solution architecture skills
