ABOUT THE CHALLENGE

As a Microsoft 365 Consultant specializing in Purview, Compliance & Information Protection, you will play a pivotal role in helping enterprise clients achieve robust data security and regulatory alignment. You’ll design, implement, and optimize compliance and data governance solutions, ensuring organizations are always a step ahead in the ever-evolving world of digital risk and privacy.

Within the field

You will be the go-to expert for all things Microsoft Purview, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Information Protection. You’ll architect and deploy solutions for data classification, labeling, and governance, and configure DLP policies across Microsoft 365 workloads like Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams. Your advice will shape information protection strategies, leveraging sensitivity labels, encryption, and rights management to keep data secure.

You’ll conduct compliance assessments and gap analyses aligned with GDPR, ISO 27001, NIS2, and other relevant standards, translating complex regulatory requirements into practical, technical solutions. Collaboration is key: you’ll work closely with security, legal, and IT teams, and provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior consultants or client teams.

Your day-to-day will include documenting architectures, configurations, and operational procedures, and staying up to date with the latest Microsoft 365 roadmap and compliance capabilities. You’ll also participate in workshops, assessments, and rollout planning, provide documentation and training for end-users and IT staff, and troubleshoot issues related to device management and M365 services. In short: you make compliance and information protection not just possible, but a true business enabler.

REQUIREMENTS

• You hold at least a bachelor’s degree
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 compliance and security features
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Purview, DLP, Information Protection, and Insider Risk Management
• Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, etc.)
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Conditional Access, and role-based access control
• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent in English; Dutch or French is a plus
• Nice to have :
  • Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
  • Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert
