Our client is a family-owned logistics group based in the Aachen area that successfully serves its German and international clients throughout Europe. To join the finance and accounting team and assist the French- and English-speaking branches, we are seeking a multilingual:

Accountant - Logistics - English / French / German (m/f/d), Aachen

Your responsibilities

• You will handle accounts receivable and accounts payable, posting incoming and outgoing invoices as well as credit memos
• You will participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• You will maintain cash books, monitor payment transactions, and prepare payment runs
• Account reconciliations, resolution of discrepancies, and the accounts receivable collection process are reliably in your hands
• You will also manage fixed asset accounting
• You will prepare tax returns and provide support on VAT issues in an international context (France, Belgium, UK)
• You will serve as the central point of contact and a valued liaison for auditors, tax advisors, customers, and suppliers in English, French, and German
• You will support process optimization in the finance department and work closely with international locations

Required experience

• You have completed an apprenticeship as a tax clerk (m/f/d), accountant (m/f/d), or a business administration apprenticeship with solid experience in financial accounting
• You have in-depth knowledge of domestic accounting. Experience in international tax and accounting is a major plus
• You communicate with absolute confidence and fluency in English, French and German.
• IT proficiency: MS Office (Excel), accounting software, and ideally ERP experience
• You work in a structured and reliable manner and bring a healthy dose of initiative as well as a strong service orientation
