Local Innovation Trainee - Clinical Study Unit (Belgium)

About the Role

Are you passionate about healthcare innovation and curious about how new ideas become real-world improvements for patients and healthcare professionals?

The Clinical Study Unit (CSU) Belgium, part of Sanofi's North Europe MCO, is looking for a Local Innovation Trainee to join the team for a 6-month internship starting in September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of clinical research, digital innovation, and healthcare transformation. You'll contribute to projects that explore new ways of supporting clinical studies, improving collaboration with healthcare professionals, and shaping the future of clinical research in Belgium.

From helping implement digital solutions such as the electronic Investigator Site File (eISF) to exploring innovative approaches for engaging investigators and study teams, you'll work on projects with real business impact while building valuable experience in one of the world's leading healthcare companies.

What You'll Be Working On

Throughout your internship, you'll have the opportunity to:

* Support innovation initiatives that enhance the delivery of clinical studies in Belgium.
* Contribute to the implementation of digital solutions, including the electronic Investigator Site File (eISF) in Veeva.
* Help develop innovative engagement approaches for investigators and clinical study sites.
* Research emerging technologies, digital tools, and best practices that could improve the clinical research experience for healthcare professionals.
* Connect with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and study coordinators, to better understand their needs and identify opportunities for innovation.
* Analyse industry trends and translate insights into recommendations that support future innovation projects.

We're looking for students who are excited by innovation, enjoy solving problems, and want to make a meaningful contribution from day one.

* Currently completing a Master's degree, ideally in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacy, Healthcare Management, Innovation Management, or a related discipline.
* Your internship must be part of your academic programme or approved by your university.

Skills & Competencies

You'll thrive in this role if you are:

* Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken).
* Knowledge of French is a plus.
* Curious about healthcare, science, innovation, and technology.
* Proactive, self-driven, and comfortable taking ownership of your work.
* A confident communicator who enjoys building relationships and networking with others.
* Comfortable conducting independent research and presenting your ideas.
* Adaptable, collaborative, and eager to learn in a dynamic international environment.
