Combine hands-on networking with team leadership : take ownership of critical infrastructure, drive Fortinet projects and lead a growing technical team.

Our partner is an international technology company is looking for aNetwork Engineer with a Team Lead mindset to take ownership of the network environment while guiding and supporting a team of IT professionals.

This is not a purely managerial position: you will remain hands-on with the technology , with a strong focus on Fortinet , while taking a leading role within the team.

Lead Network Engineer - The Job

• Take ownership of the network infrastructure , designing, configuring and maintaining secure and highly available environments, with a strong focus on Fortinet technologies.
• Lead and support the network/IT team , providing technical guidance, prioritizing activities and helping team members grow their expertise.
• Manage and optimize FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, VPN, SD-WAN and security policies , while working with Palo Alto technologies where required.
• Drive network security initiatives, including firewall management, segmentation, IDS/IPS, vulnerability assessments and incident response.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues, monitor performance and ensure reliability, availability and continuous improvement of the infrastructure.
• Coordinate projects, vendors and internal stakeholders , while maintaining clear technical documentation and ensuring successful delivery.

Jouw profiel

Lead Network Engineer - The Profile

• 5 + years of experience in network engineering or network administration, ideally combined with an initial team leadership or mentoring experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Fortinet , particularly FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, VPN and SD-WAN.
• Solid knowledge of network security , firewalls, IDS/IPS, segmentation, NAT and security policies; experience with Palo Alto is a strong asset.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, subnetting, OSPF/BGP and enterprise network infrastructure.
• A natural technical leader : someone who enjoys solving complex problems hands-on while also supporting, coordinating and developing others.
• Fluent in English and French , with strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical topics to different stakeholders.
