Howden Maintenance Partners, part of Baker Hughes, is a leading service provider specializing in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of industrial rotating equipment such as electric motors, pumps, compressors, turbines and generators.

To support our continued growth, we are looking for an ambitious Regional Sales Manager who combines strong business development skills with technical affinity.

Your Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships at operational, technical and commercial levels. Creating access to new customers and new stakeholders within existing accounts.
• Promote the capabilities of Howden/Chart, ensuring customers understand where and how the organization can support.
• Identify customer needs, business opportunities and potential projects through regular customer visits and market engagement.
• Connect qualified opportunities with the right expert sales or technical specialist within the group.
• Provide expert sales with clear customer context, including needs, opportunity scope, timing, decision-making process and key contacts.
• Enable expert sales teams to focus on technically relevant opportunities, quotations and solution development.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities within the wider Howden and Chart portfolio.
• Maintain an accurate CRM and sales pipeline, including customer visits, contacts, leads, opportunities and follow-up actions.
• Monitor market developments, competitor activity, investment plans, shutdowns and customer projects in the region.
• Report regularly on customer activity, market intelligence and commercial opportunities to the sales and management teams.

Your Experience Should Be...

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electromechanics or equivalent.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales, business development, or account management, ideally within industrial services, rotating equipment, or the energy sector.
• Fluent in Dutch and English. French is a plus.
• Willing to travel throughout the Benelux (50-75%).
• Proven ability to build, develop, and maintain long-term customer relationships based on trust and collaboration
• Outgoing and approachable personality with the ability to establish new customer relationships and expand stakeholder networks within existing accounts.
• Curious and analytical mindset with strong listening skills to understand customer needs, uncover challenges, and identify business opportunities
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to recognize and develop opportunities, even when customer needs are not explicitly articulated Solid technical aptitude with the ability to engage in technical discussions and qualify opportunities for products and services.
• Well-organized in managing customer information, opportunities, and follow-up activities within CRM systems, while effectively leveraging internal experts and cross-functional teams.
• Self-driven, resilient, and goal-oriented, with the ability to independently develop a sales region, navigate long industrial sales cycles, and consistently pursue new business opportunities.
