We are looking for interns for our Audit Department in Aalst   that together with us, will shake up things around here during the period February to May 2027.

Your role and responsibilities as a future auditor

As an auditor you love numbers and analytical thinking, that’s for sure. You like to get down to the bone of things because acquiring insights and finding out as much as possible is just your thing. From the way a business works and how it is structured, until the products or services they sell, and their technology and tools they work with. You want to contribute to transparency and integrity; you want to build confidence and trust in the volatile and ever-changing world.

Audit is much more than number crunching, it is analysing and verifying the reliability and the quality of the financial reporting and about guiding your clients through different processes.

The good thing about audit is that it affects all businesses. You will work for small local SMEs to large international clients, from the health sector and soccer clubs to international financial institutions everything in between. This means a lot of learning opportunities to experience business life, developing technical and soft skills, and getting to know a lot of interesting people, from the accountant to the CEO of an organisation.

What to expect during your internship at RSM Belgium?

As an intern auditor, you will

• rotate in different audit teams to discover as many as you can through observation and assist in the ins and outs of this profession
• depending on your development, be assigned sections or cycles of accounts to be audited (cash cycle, fixed assets, turnover, etc.)
• become familiar with the world of audit by working directly with the RSM Belgium Audit team at the client site
• use the tool as well as the audit techniques according to the methodology of RSM Belgium.

Who are we looking for?

Are you a penultimate student in Commercial Engineering, Commercial Sciences or (Applied) Economic Sciences and interest in finance? Then you have your entry ticket. However only people with great respect, a better mindset and the best personality may join RSM Belgium.
