The Role

We are looking for a hands-on 1st Line Logistics / Warehouse Manager to lead daily warehouse operations for a leading food & beverage company in the Flemish Brabant region.

You will be responsible for managing a team of 16–24 warehouse operatives, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality logistics processes while meeting operational KPIs. This is a people-focused leadership role that combines warehouse operations, team development, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and motivate a team of 16–24 warehouse employees.
• Coordinate daily inbound, outbound, storage, and internal warehouse activities.
• Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations and promote a strong safety culture, including safe forklift operations.
• Monitor warehouse performance and implement improvements to maximise productivity and service levels.
• Manage employee performance, attendance, training, and development.
• Support onboarding and employee acceptance programmes for new starters.
• Ensure warehouse processes are followed in line with company procedures and quality standards.
• Work closely with production, planning, transport, and other internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Use SAP Warehouse Management and the company's in-house WMS to manage warehouse activities, inventory accuracy, and reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to operational excellence.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Warehouse Manager, Logistics Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, or First Line Manager within a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Experience managing operational teams of approximately 15–25 employees.
• Experience within the food & beverage, FMCG, manufacturing, or distribution sector is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics processes.
• Good understanding of warehouse safety standards and forklift safety practices.
• Experience working with SAP Warehouse Management (WM) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); experience with in-house WMS solutions is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment.
