The European school Brussels III is part of the "European Schools", an intergovernmental organisation offering multilingual and multicultural education.

Job description The European School Brussels III is seeking to recruit an Italian Language Teacher (m/f) . The successful candidate will teach Italian as a third and fourth language (L3 and L4) in the Secondary Cycle .
This is a full-time position (approximately 20 to 21 teaching periods per week ) offered on a fixed-term contract for the 2026/2027 school year . 
The successful candidate will join a dynamic, multilingual and multicultural educational environment and contribute to the academic development and well-being of students in accordance with the values and educational objectives of the European Schools.
The teacher will be employed as a Locally Recruited Teacher (LRT) under the terms and conditions set out in the Service Regulations for Locally Recruited Teachers in the European Schools.
Profile Native speaker or thorough knowledge of the teaching language (Italian : C2 level)
Recognized qualifications and/or university degree (validated by the national authorities) which qualify to teach in the secondary school
Knowledge of at least one second working language of the school (French/English)
European citizen or person having a valid working permit in Belgium
Ability to teach mixed classes using effective differentiation
Strong motivation in teaching in a multicultural and multilingual environment
Ability to work and to cooperate with colleagues, management and families
Offer Starting day : 1 September 2026
Availability : We offer a fixed-term contract for one year (approximately 21 periods per week), from 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2027. An extension of the contract is possible under certain conditions.
Gross salary: The gross salary is €77,401.80 per year for full-time (21 periods per week) in secondary education. Please refer to Annex 1 of document 2016-05-D-11-fr-19 for exact pay scales per period.
