Principal Scientist in Chemical Process R&D

Principal Scientist position in chemical process R&D at Johnson & Johnson's Beerse facility. Lead research initiatives developing therapeutic agents, advancing methodologies, and managing cross-functional collaborations with internal teams and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute research for developing therapeutic agents with focus on high-quality scientific experiments
- Originate and advance scientific methodologies applying state-of-the-art knowledge to projects
- Take leadership roles across projects at different development stages
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on complex problem-solving
- Prepare scientific reports and presentations demonstrating data analysis and regulatory compliance
Requirements
- Ph.D. in chemistry or related field with minimum 5 years pharmaceutical process chemistry experience
- Master's in organic chemistry with minimum 7 years professional process chemistry experience (alternative qualification)
- Strong hands-on laboratory expertise designing and troubleshooting complex experiments
- Demonstrated leadership ability in challenging scientific situations with excellent English communication skills
- Production, process technical transfer, and cGMP compliance experience
- Experience leading and managing external partners and collaborators
- Mandarin language skills advantageous
Compensation: €82,000.00 - €141,450.00 base
