Senior Service Manager

As a Service Manager , you are the ambassador for our clients, ensuring they experience the full value of our services. You translate their needs into concrete actions, providing strategic guidance and guaranteeing top-tier service delivery.

What will you be doing?

• Manage and follow up on the service portfolio for a major client in the utility sector

• Act as the key point of contact for delivered services within the client organization

• Work closely with the project manager to align priorities, coordinate activities, and ensure a consistent approach towards the client

• Report on spotit’s services based on agreed SLAs and client expectations

• Proactively identify risks and opportunities

• Maintain and enforce SLAs while collaborating with operational teams

• Monitor incidents and changes, escalating when necessary

• Ensure service quality while optimizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness

• Functionally lead the client team and drive continuous improvement in close collaboration with the project manager

A day in the life of a Service Manager

Your day starts with a quick scan of your inbox : updates from engineers, a client question about an ongoing incident, and a request for input ahead of an upcoming service review.

With a coffee in hand, you align with the p roject m anager to review priorities, discuss ongoing activities, and ensure you are both on the same page. Together, you prepare for a meeting with the client, where you discuss service performance, highlight improvements, and proactively address potential risks.

Later, you check in with the technical team to ensure incidents are being handled efficiently. When an issue requires escalation, you coordinate with the relevant stakeholders, keep the client informed, and work closely with the p roject m anager to ensure the right follow-up.

In the afternoon, you focus on service quality and continuous improvement. You analyse reports, monitor SLA performance, and identify opportunities to optimize the services delivered to the client.

Before logging off, a message from the client comes in: "Thanks for the clear communication and follow-up!" A reminder that strong collaboration and reliable service make a real impact.

Your profile

• Client-focused, communicative, and passionate about service management

• 5+ years of experience in Service Management within networking, security, or managed services

• ITIL v4 certification (even better if you're willing to obtain the ITIL v5)

• Experience with ServiceNow, PowerBI, and SharePoint is an asset

• Strong ability to present and convince stakeholders

• Skilled at working with technical teams to deliver top-notch services

• Proactive, structured, and always looking for improvement

• Bachelor's or master’s degree, or equivalent experience

• Fluent in Dutch and English
