Experienced General Ledger Accountant

IQVIA seeks an experienced General Ledger Accountant in Brussels to manage financial reconciliations, month-end and quarter-end closing activities, and ensure compliance with SOX and internal control frameworks. The role involves reconciling inventory and intercompany accounts, analyzing financial data, and supporting audit preparation and tax filings. A finance degree, strong analytical skills, and fluency in English, Dutch, and French are required; SAP or Peoplesoft experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly and quarterly reconciliations for inventory and intercompany accounts
- Execute month-end and quarter-end closing activities with account analysis and verification
- Enter financial transactions including accruals, deferrals, and reclassifications into the general ledger
- Ensure internal controls and SOX compliance adherence with timely execution
- Assist with audit file preparation, annual accounts, tax declarations, and regulatory filings
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field preferred
- Strong accounting skills in statutory and international standards
- SAP or Peoplesoft experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Fluent in written and spoken English, Dutch, and French
- Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in complex environments
