About the project – Oosterweel Link (Antwerp)
The Oosterweel Link is one of the largest and most ambitious infrastructure projects in Europe, aimed at completing the Antwerp Ring Road and significantly improving mobility in and around the city. The project includes the construction of major infrastructure works such as the Scheldt Tunnel, the Oosterweel interchange, and the Canal Tunnels, creating a direct connection between the left and right banks of the river Scheldt. 

Beyond mobility, the project focuses on enhancing quality of life by reducing traffic congestion, improving road safety, and integrating the Ring into the urban environment through tunnels, green zones, and new public spaces. 

Within this programme, the ROCO consortium is responsible for the largest section on the right bank of Antwerp, including the construction of the Canal Tunnels and the transformation of the existing Ring into a modern, partly sunken infrastructure. [besix.com]

• You are responsible for managing in-house employees and overseeing the work of subcontractors. In this role, you act as the central point of contact.
• You contribute to the necessary work preparation, with a strong focus on technical aspects. You also coordinate the site based on established work and execution plans.
• You ensure compliance with safety and environmental procedures and make sure they are respected by everyone. In addition, you monitor the quality of the work delivered and adjust where necessary.
• You help prepare daily and weekly schedules, look for optimisation opportunities, monitor productivity, and intervene where needed.
• You review invoice proposals from the relevant subcontractors and suppliers.
• You report directly to the Site Manager / Project Manager

Qualifications

• You hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering, with 3–5 years of experience in the construction sector, preferably in civil works.
• You have strong practical and technical insight, while maintaining a clear sense of administrative responsibility.
• You possess strong interpersonal and organisational skills, enabling you to communicate instructions effectively.
• You have a good flowing working knowledge of English.
• Your personality aligns with our DNA: you enjoy working collaboratively, set high standards for yourself, and proactively seek solutions when challenges arise.
