The Belgian subsidiary of an international group active in the creative and events industry, this fast-growing Brussels-based structure operates across several European markets. Around fifteen employees, a relaxed working atmosphere, and an accessible management team - no bureaucracy, no heavy hierarchy. The offices are located on the outskirts of Brussels and are easily accessible by car.

Your Responsibilities You will take full ownership of the Belgian finance function, working closely with both local management and the international finance team. The key feature of this role: everything still needs to be structured. You are not inheriting an existing system - you will build it. Set up and document financial processes and internal controls. Manage the full accounting cycle: monthly closings, P&L, balance sheet, and annual accounts filing. Handle Belgian VAT obligations and cross-border transactions. Monitor accounts receivable and payable, treasury, and credit control. Oversee inventory accounting in coordination with operational teams. Provide HR and payroll support for approximately fifteen employees. Act as a proactive advisor to management regarding Belgian legal and tax obligations.

Jouw profiel

The Profile Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent. Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in general accounting, including significant exposure to environments where you had to build or restructure a finance function. You know how to create processes where none exist yet - which is exactly what is expected here. Technical Skills: Comfortable working with Excel and ERP systems (Xero, Business Central, or equivalent). Strong knowledge of Belgian VAT regulations and ideally exposure to international operations or multi-currency environments. Languages: Fluent English is essential, as it is the main working language. French or Dutch is required for local communication. Personal Qualities: You are someone who brings structure where none exists yet, can make decisions without having all the answers, and thrives in environments where everything still needs to be built.
