Expert Product Owner (Information Technology/Software)

Our client, a leading Software, Information and Communication Technologies company, operates internationally (Athens, Brussels, Luxembourg, Copenhagen, Stockholm, London, Nicosia, Hong-Kong, Valetta, etc). Our client is a renowned supplier of IT services to government institutions, multinational corporations, public administrations and multinational companies, research and academic institutes.

Role Overview

Our client currently has a vacancy for an Expert product owner fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 13 years of relevant working experience in IT;
• Experience with large, enterprise-level multi-user Information Systems;
• Experience with large projects or programmes;
• Experience in Agile as well as agile toolbox (i.e., JIRA, Confluence, Big Picture, Gliffy, Balsamiq, etc.).
• Excellent Knowledge of Application Management Lifecycle;
• Good Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, COBIT, Zachman, and actual experience developing and building models based on such framework;
• Good knowledge of cloud architecture frameworks, of Infrastructure as code, and of enterprise architecture frameworks;
• Experience working in a public sector environment, in particular EU Institutions would be an asset;
• Following certifications would be considered an asset: Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) Or Project Management certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI, Prince2 Foundation, PM2;
• Excellent command of the English language.

Responsibilities

• Provision of expert advice: Enterprise solution patterns and best practices in custom components development, cloud components development, build and deployment;
• Work within the agile process and take decisions regarding priority, business value, and functionality for all the work done by the agile development team;
• Possess an in-depth knowledge of goals and desired objectives of the project.
• Propose solutions by combining IT tools and business process refactoring or improvements based on an in-depth understanding of a specific data spaces and initiatives;
• Interact with business analysts, customer, users, project leaders and the developers.
• Supervise the implementation of the Open technical architecture, including an analysis the integration and interoperability of different existing open-source software building blocks that will be included in the cloud architecture;
• Steer/inspect/validate the software architecture documents.
