As part of the continued development of its Private Banking activities in Belgium, the firm is looking to recruit an Assistant Private Banker to support a team of Private Bankers and contribute to delivering an exceptional client experience.

About the Role

As an Assistant Private Banker , you will play a key role in supporting Private Bankers throughout the entire client lifecycle, from onboarding to the ongoing management of client relationships.

Acting as a trusted point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders, you will ensure the smooth execution of daily banking operations, maintain high service standards, and contribute to the efficiency and quality of the Private Banking offering.

This position offers broad exposure to wealth management activities and close interaction with both clients and investment professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Client Onboarding & Relationship Support

• Support Private Bankers in client acquisition and onboarding processes.
• Prepare client meetings and gather all required documentation.
• Coordinate account opening requests with Compliance and Operations teams.
• Ensure client files are complete, accurate, and maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to the delivery of a seamless and professional client experience.

Banking & Investment Operations

• Receive and process day-to-day client instructions.
• Execute banking and investment transactions, including domestic and international payments, securities transactions, investment funds, foreign exchange operations, and money market transactions.
• Monitor account activity and balances, escalating discrepancies or issues when appropriate.
• Ensure timely and accurate execution of all client requests.

Client Service & Reporting

• Act as a point of contact for client inquiries and administrative requests.
• Prepare and review portfolio reports and client documentation ahead of meetings.
• Support the organization of client reviews and follow-up actions.
• Ensure all client interactions comply with internal procedures and regulatory obligations.
• Maintain a high level of responsiveness and service quality.

Credit & Insurance Administration

• Coordinate client requests relating to lending solutions and life insurance contracts.
• Liaise with internal specialists and support teams to ensure efficient processing.
• Monitor the progress of requests and provide regular updates to Private Bankers and clients.

Risk & Compliance Support

• Contribute to the periodic review of client files and KYC documentation.
• Ensure adherence to AML, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements.
• Identify potential operational or compliance risks and escalate where necessary.
• Support the maintenance of robust operational controls and processes.

Your Profile

Education

• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

• Previous experience in a Private Banking Assistant, Client Service Officer, or Relationship Support role is highly desirable.
• Good understanding of banking products, investment solutions, and operational processes.

Technical Skills

• Solid knowledge of financial markets and investment products.
• Understanding of account opening, banking operations, KYC, and AML processes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
• Proficiency with standard banking and office applications.

Languages

• Fluent in French and English.
• Good knowledge of Dutch is considered a strong asset.
