Legal Officer (H/F/X) (Interim - Maternity Coverage)

Duration: 7 months, from September 2026 to March 2027
Schedule: Full-time
Salary: €4,350.00 - €6,215.00 gross/month, depending on experience
Robert Half is currently recruiting an experienced Legal Officer (H/F/X) for an international economic institute based in Brussels.
This is a full-time interim assignment covering maternity leave for a period of 7 months.
The successful candidate will provide legal advice to management and business teams, oversee contract-related matters, manage intellectual property topics, and coordinate with external legal counsel.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts and agreements from a legal perspective;
- Manage contract performance and monitor renewal and renegotiation opportunities;
- Help improve contract management processes and tools;
- Manage the trademarks portfolio and support intellectual property protection actions;
- Participate in legal discussions and negotiations with third parties when needed;
- Conduct legal due diligence ;
- Monitor the administrators' insurance portfolio;
- Coordinate with external legal advisors and law firms;
- Provide ad hoc legal support to management and internal business units.
Profile
- University degree in Law obtained in an EU Member State;
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a legal expert;
- Strong knowledge of international contract law;
- Excellent command of English and at least one additional EU language, both written and spoken;
- The process requires a valid Belgian work permit.
