Expert Genesys Cloud Developer The Role

We are looking for an experienced Expert Genesys Cloud Developer to contribute to the development, integration, and continuous improvement of customer engagement and contact centre technology platforms.

You will work on solutions supporting customer interactions across voice and digital channels, ensuring seamless integration between contact centre platforms, internal applications, and external services.

Working closely with architects, developers, business stakeholders, security specialists, and project teams, you will translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of complex technical challenges, contribute to architectural decisions, and progressively develop towards a Technical Lead position.

Key Responsibilities

1. Development & Platform Integration

• Design, develop, test, and maintain solutions supporting customer engagement and contact centre platforms.

• Build and maintain integrations between Genesys Cloud and internal or external systems using REST APIs, web services, OAuth 2.0, and event-driven mechanisms.

• Configure and develop customer interaction flows, routing logic, automation, and platform integrations.

• Translate business requirements and user stories into scalable, robust, and maintainable technical solutions.

• Integrate contact centre technologies with enterprise applications, CRM platforms, and other business-critical systems.

• Contribute to the evolution and optimisation of voice and digital customer interaction capabilities.

2. Technical Design & Problem Solving

• Participate in technical design discussions and recommend pragmatic implementation approaches.

• Assess the technical feasibility, dependencies, risks, and potential impacts of proposed solutions.

• Investigate complex technical incidents, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.

• Apply software engineering best practices to ensure code quality, maintainability, reliability, and performance.

• Contribute to technical documentation, development standards, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

• Support testing activities, release preparation, production support, and monitoring to ensure reliable platform operations.

3. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with developers, business analysts, solution architects, Product Owners, security specialists, and business stakeholders.

• Ensure that solutions comply with relevant security, privacy, and quality standards.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across customer engagement and contact centre technologies.

• Stay informed about developments within the Genesys ecosystem, including AI-enabled capabilities such as voice bots and virtual agents.

• Share technical knowledge and support colleagues in adopting effective development practices.

• Develop your technical leadership capabilities, with the opportunity to take on greater responsibility for technical direction and solution design.

Candidate Profile

Essential Skills & Experience

• At least 5 years of professional software development experience .

• Strong experience designing and developing integrations using REST APIs and web services.

• Good understanding of OAuth 2.0, authentication, and authorisation mechanisms.

• Experience working with distributed systems, cloud platforms, and integrations between cloud-based and enterprise environments.

• Ability to analyse complex technical problems and drive them through to effective, sustainable solutions.

• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, clean code, maintainability, and development best practices.

• Ability to translate functional requirements and business needs into technical solutions.

• Experience working in complex enterprise environments involving multiple systems, teams, and stakeholders.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

• Proactive, pragmatic, and quality-oriented approach to software development.

• Fluent in either French or Dutch , with a professional command of English.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience with Genesys Cloud CX.

• Experience with Genesys Platform APIs, Architect, and Data Actions.

• Background in contact centre, customer engagement, or telephony technologies.

• Knowledge of SIP, WebRTC, and voice communication technologies.

• Experience with digital messaging platforms and omnichannel customer interaction solutions.

• Familiarity with event-driven architectures, notifications, and webhooks.

• Experience with cloud integration platforms and enterprise integration patterns.

• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman.

• Experience integrating contact centre platforms with CRM systems or other enterprise applications.

• Exposure to AI-enabled contact centre capabilities, including voice bots and virtual agents.
